DB backup job for DB maintenance plan failed

I have few doubts as below state:
1) What's the cause for DB backup job for DB maintenance plan failed?
2) What's the measure to correct this problem?
Thanks in advance.
MS KhorKhor,
What's in the:
1) SQL Server error log
2) SQL Agent error log
3) Windows Event log
Right click the maintenance plan, select History, and double click any
errors you see there. What do they say? Paste the text to this group.

DB Access from different m/c

when i access the database from different DB server getting the following error

Msg 18452, Sev 14, State 1, Line 1 : Login failed for user ''. The user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection. [SQLSTATE 28000]

Thanks,
Ravinder

Your SQL Server is set to Windows Authentication only. You need to logon with a user which has granted access to the server. You can′t provide a userId and passwort in the connecting string because this will be ognored in the case of Windows Auth. only. Another option would be, if feasable for your to switch the authentication mode to mixed.

datepart function not working

when i put this in a text box, i get this error message:
="Includes Date:" & DatePart(""d"", Now() )
BC30518 Overload resolution failed because no accessible 'DatePart' can be
called with these argumentsdatepart is an SQL Server function, not a Reporting services function.
try this:
now().ToString("d")
write your RS function as VB.Net functions.

functions including the date manipulation ones.
Included in this set a DatePart() function. Pleaser refer to MSDN for more
information.
